A Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier was found on Aberdeen’s Beach Esplanade this week.
SSPCA officers say the dogs was only weighed 6.3kg (1st) – half the body weight of a healthy terrier, had been mistreated and were hunting for the owner.
Joanna Bowie, a motorist who rescued the dog spotted her in rush hour traffic, she was literally standing in the middle of the road, and due to her poor health condition she was moving very sluggishly.
However the Duchess of Hamilton has offered a £500 reward for information leading to the conviction of whoever left this Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the Aberdeen Beach area.
Lady Hamilton, is originally from Aberdeen, and runs the Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue Service.
She convey her deepest concern regarding the increasing number of mistreated dogs and assured to help them.
She feels that more homes are needed for these lovely dogs and in a right home they will surely turned out as super pets.
