Witnesses say their neighbor, a man named Mark Fraher, was walking his Rodesian Ridgeback mix on a leash when he saw a cat in a neighbors yard. He told his dog to get the cat then he held his dog on the leash while his dog attacked it.

While Gonzales and his girlfriend Krystal Hernandez, both Texas State University students, were rushing their teacup poodle, Missy, from San Marcos to an all-night vet clinic in New Braunfels after the dog choked on her food and went limp, police officer Paul Stephens consciously delayed them beside Interstate 35 and let the poor dog died in the lap of her helpless owner.
