Is Pig Pest Or Pet?
A Carbon County woman, Elizabeth Yanoski, has gone to court to keep her pet pig, Hamlet. The question boils down to this: Is a pig a pest or a pet?
She says that there’s a “pig difference” between pet pigs and farm pigs and she is not violating the law. The law is for breeder and feeder pigs. There’s a difference. Hamlet is bred just for pets.
Yanoski says she’s spent more than $300 fighting for her pig, but the police say they’ll stay on the
case.
